Well, I just realized that another 3 months have passed since I updated this blog, guess I am not as disciplined as I want to be.
Anyway, my granddaughter, Julia, is growing like a weed. She is eating solid food now, starting of course with cereal. Seeing Shannon feed her brings back many memories from when my children were starting to eat solid foods. Where has all the time gone?!
The boys and I went to Shannon and Dave's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Dave's brother and his wife came too, so it was pretty much a family day. Julia has started standing by herself now, but she is not crawling yet. Guess kids all develop at their own rate. Dave got a job at Con Agra here in Omaha too!! This means they will be staying around here for a while longer at least!!
Shane is came home from Chicago for about a week or so. He came home in his '96 Geo ( that was pretty much falling apart!!) and left a week later in his '00 Durango. Talk about trading up!! He is going to be starting back up with his schooling after the new year. He is renting a house in the Chicago area with 4 or 5 other guys so the rent won't be that much. He said he would probably come and get the Corvair one weekend since they have a 2-1/2 car garage and a big driveway there. Hopefully he takes Max too!!

Shay is doing PT with the recruiters every Thursday at 5pm. They have him running, doing sit-ups and push ups, and, sometimes, having fun. He is really looking forward to going into the Army next summer.
Shawn is working at Taco Bell and going to school, after this year he will have about 2 more years left. One with classes and one where he does student teaching. We will see how that goes.
Sue (my lady friend from Missouri) and I have ended our relationship recently. The distance played a big part in our decision, along with a couple of things she wasn't sure about with us. So I guess I will be spending more time at home with the boys, working around the house and such.
I recently put my motorcycle away for the winter. It has been getting colder here, but not any measurable lasting snow. I wonder if Nebraska will see any snow at all!! I can't wait for spring so I can ride again. Next year, before Shay leaves for the Army I want to take the boys to Milwaukee to a Brewers game. The new stadium there is fantastic!!
Anyway, I am going to post this (with some pictures!!) today so it doesn't get any later.
